March 1, 2010 – Nothing fishy aboout it! Hiller's Markets to donate 100% of profits from their popular, Premium Albacore Tuna Pasta Salad to the American Red Cross - Southeastern Michigan Chapter during March.
Talk about a tasty, tantalizing (tuna) fish tale! As part of Hiller’s Markets Good Deeds in the Making program to benefit local charities during these challenging economic times, the family-owned chain of seven metro Detroit grocery stores will proudly donate 100% of the profits from the sales of its popular Premium Albacore Tuna Pasta to the American Red Cross—Southeastern Michigan Chapter throughout the month of March. This delicious, ready-prepared dish is a staple for Hiller’s shoppers who enjoy the store’s special recipe of al dente pasta shells tossed with premium albacore white tuna and diced vegetables lightly seasoned in a creamy dressing. This healthy, fresh pasta dish (a meal in itself) retails for $5.98 per pound and is available in all Hiller’s prepared foods departments. Hiller’s Good Deeds in the Making program was created last year as a way to inspire consumers to purchase high-quality, ready-to-eat, great-tasting meals while helping good causes in their communities. This month’s charity, the Southeastern Michigan Chapter of The American Red Cross, steps in every day to help families cope with disasters such as house fires and floods. Last year alone, local American Red Cross volunteers helped over 1700 disaster victims, providing them with clothing, basic household items, food and temporary housing. The organization also assists local military personnel, veterans and their families through emergency communication, financial assistance and counseling. |
