April 3, 2011 – Chef Pete from Hiller's Market joins Fox 2 to promote "Hiller's Good
Deeds in the Making" program and prepare Pasta Salad with Grilled
Bratwurst.
All through the month of April, Hiller's will raise money for Sparky Anderson's CATCH charity. It was started by the late Detroit Tigers manager to improve the quality of life for pediatric patients at Children's Hospital of Michigan and Henry Ford Hospital. All profits from Beelers natural casing Bratwurst sold at the Hiller's deli counter for $5.29 per pound will be donated to CATCH. Chef Pete on Fox 2 Pasta Salad with Grilled Bratwurst Ingredients: 1 lb. tri color bow tie pasta, cooked 1-2 c. julienned bratwurst, cooked and chilled 1c. diced cheddar cheese ¾ c. julienned red onion ¾ c. julienned red pepper ¼ c. light mayo ¼ c. cider vinegar ¼ c. canola oil 1/3 c. grainy mustard 1 tbsp tarragon 1 tsp salt and pepper Directions: Cook and chill pasta. Mix mustard, canola, vinegar and mayo together. Add all remaining ingredients. Mix well and serve. |
