April 27, 2010 – myfoxdetroit.com – Get this recipe courtesy of Hiller's Markets. Hiller’s is
hosting a Made-in-Michigan Food Fair on Sunday, May 2 at its Ann Arbor
location (3615 Washtenaw Avenue) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Over 25 vendors
will showcase their Michigan-produced foods. Some vendors include Garden
Fresh Gourmet, Dearborn Ham, Hudsonville Ice Cream and Guernsey Dairy.
1 loaf Hiller’s freshly baked bread, cut into cubes (about 12 cups)
1 bunch asparagus, trimmed then cut into ¾
inch pieces Preheat skillet. Sauté asparagus, bell pepper, and green onions in butter until al dente (about 2 minutes). Place eggs, milk and spices into a large bowl. Mix well. Add bread. Mix until bread absorbs the majority of the egg mixture. Add cheese and sautéed vegetables. Gently mix. Spray casserole dish with pan coating. Lightly coat casserole dish with flour dumping out the excess. Place mixture in casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 to 35 minutes.
