 Since 1993, Hiller’s has partnered with hundreds of organizations to raise money through grocery shopping. When organizations like Michigan Animal Rescue, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, and others, including schools and churches, sign on, they give Scrip Cards to their supporters. Participants can then put money on their cards to use for shopping at Hiller’s. With every purchase – no minimums! – non-profits receive 5% every time their constituents shop at Hiller’s. In 2007, Hiller’s collected $3,572,000 in gross Scrip sales, which sent $178,580 to 300 non-profits. This year, we expect to sell $5 million in Scrip cards.

There are no minimum rebate amounts, no money up front.” Non-profits buy Scrip cards at a discount from Hiller’s, then sell the cards to their members. Members pay face value prices, then use Scrip in our stores like cash. They can add money to their card again and again, so every shopping trip raises funds for their favorite organizations. Scrip cards are available from $5 to $1,000; participants can add money to their card periodically, in the form of cash, credit or check.
